A PDF is best. We also take JPG and PNG images, photos straight from your phone (including iPhone photos) and Word documents (.docx). If you design in Canva, download it as “PDF Print”.
Bleed is an extra 3mm of background beyond the edge of your design, so there's no white line if the cut lands slightly out. The safe area is 3mm inside the edge: keep text and logos within it so nothing gets trimmed.
A few products, such as flags and hemmed banners, need more. The template for each size shows exactly where everything goes. If your file has no bleed, we'll spot it in our check and get in touch.

Tags for presents, hampers, wedding favours and products on a shop shelf. Start with the shape: a parcel tag has its top corners cut off at an angle, and a swing tag is a plain rectangle with square corners. Print one side or both.
There are three boards. 350gsm and 450gsm silk are smooth with a soft sheen, and 450gsm is the stiffer of the two. 350gsm uncoated has a natural paper feel and is easy to write on, so it suits tags people will sign by hand.
Silk tags can be laminated in matt, gloss or soft touch, on the front only or on both sides. Once a tag is laminated, you can add raised spot UV to one side or both, or gold or silver foil to one side.
Use the template for your tag shape, which shows where it will be cut. On parcel tags, keep names and logos clear of the angled corners.
Spot UV and foil are set up by hand during your free artwork check: say which part to pick out, such as your logo, in Your reference when you order, and we'll confirm it with you before printing. For a two-sided tag, check the back is the same way up as the front.
