Flyers are single flat sheets printed on one or both sides, in sizes from A7 to A3 plus slim, square and custom options. They're the everyday pick for menus, offers, event notices and door drops. When one sheet isn't enough, folded leaflets give you four, six or eight pages with a half, C, Z, roll, concertina or cross fold. They're always printed on both sides, and the size you pick is what you get once it's folded.
Creased leaflets sit between the two: a single sheet of 250 or 350gsm with one crease, giving four pages that feel solid. They suit programmes, menus and orders of service, and arrive flat for you to fold.
Perforated flyers have a line of tiny holes so part of the sheet tears away cleanly, for a voucher, a raffle ticket or a reply slip. The line sits in the centre or a third of the way across, on A5, A4 or DL. Perforated folded leaflets build a tear-off panel into a four or six page leaflet, which suits a booking form or voucher. Both start at 100.
Custom shape flyers are cut to an outline such as your logo or a product, on 250 or 350gsm. Unfinished sheets are full SRA3 sheets sent untrimmed, for anyone with their own guillotine.
Light 90 to 130gsm paper suits big handouts and door drops, and 150 to 170gsm silk is the everyday weight with some body to it. 250gsm feels like thin card and 350gsm is closer to a postcard, so go heavier for vouchers and tickets people hold on to. On folded leaflets, papers over 170gsm are creased first so the fold doesn't crack.
Silk paper has a gentle sheen, while uncoated feels more natural and is easy to write on, so pick it for anything people fill in. Matt, gloss or soft touch lamination goes on silk of 250gsm and over, and laminated flyers and folded or creased leaflets can then have one detail picked out in spot UV or gold or silver foil.
Lamination isn't possible on uncoated paper, which rules out spot UV and foil too. Custom shape flyers can be laminated but don't take spot UV or foil.
